What is Torchwood
The Torchwood Institute is the name of a secret organization set up to combat unusual and alien threats to the human race. Initially founded by Queen Victoria herself, the Torchwood team - lead by Captain Jack Harkness - worked for decades with an international armed force to protect Earth from the people, objects and creatures from across the Universe which threatened the planet on Torchwood’s watch.
But not so long ago, Torchwood found itself being attacked by its allies, killing all but two of the team. Captain Jack and Gwen Cooper were forced to go their separate ways and Torchwood was no more – until the Miracle happened. Can the team survive a reunion – and who can they trust?
