About the show

The three episodes will each cover a different aspect of China: the countryside around the famous Yangtze River, the urban powerhouse of the capital city Beijing and the stark beauty of the Gobi Desert.

Along the way Guy will work in a factory to build his very own electric motorbike, visit the world's largest public toilet, help demolish a skyscraper, marvel at a hydro-electric power station so large that when it moves water the rotation of the Earth slows and work alongside the families who live in waste dumps earning a living recycling.

The series will conclude with Guy visiting one of the hottest places on the planet and attempting an epic new world record for the fastest crossing of the Gobi's so-called "Desert of Death"...by bicycle.
